Larry has cut my hair for years and no one can cut it the way he does! I literally get complimented on my haircut weekly! Recently, Larry also updated my hair color. I was really impressed with not only the combination of colors Larry used, but also with the Keratin Conditioning treatment he applied. My hair has been fuller, shinier and bouncier for days! My husband said it was the best my hair has ever looked. And...my first day back to work after receiving this cut and color treatment I received compliments on my hair from 3 different people in 30 minutes. Two of them were strangers! Thank you, Larry.

Larry did my Keratin Smoothing Treatment 8 weeks ago and I am still thrilled with the results. I have spent my first summer ever without FRIZZ! I have wavy hair that tends to get frizzy in the humid summer months.I have not used my Flat Iron at all since the treatment. My hair is still just as smooth 2 months later! My hair also dries faster since the treatment...an added benefit that I had not expected! My hair still has he same volume just smoother. Styling my hair this summer has been a breeze,just a quick hair drying...no other equipment needed. Larry's work is amazing. He is knowledgeable about current trends, skilled at his trade, and a very pleasant and accommodating person to interact with. As a guy who never really understood what to ask for when getting a haircut, I haven't had hair that looked this good in 25 years.
It's no $12, bargain-basement typical guy haircut; you're paying for quality and personality, and you're going to get it.

Great Hairstyle and Color

Went to Larry for the first time last week. He took the time to talk to me and find out what my lifestyle was and explained how different styles affected my look, what is flattering and not flattering. I must say, I put my trust in him and I was not disappointed. The cut he gave me fits my face perfectly and is very easy to keep up which is great for my busy schedule. And the color is awesome! Very natural and it shines! I highly recommend him. I've already had several people tell me how much younger I look. :-) He's a stylist who knows what he's doing.

Larry has been my stylist for over 26 years. I am a hard person to convince to change when it comes to my hair, but Larry doesn't give up on me. When I was 39, I tried the "Guess your age" game at the fair. The man guessed 54. I went back to Larry and said my hair is yours. He gave me a new style, got rid of the gray and I had a brand new look. The next year I went back to the fair and played the same game. The guess was now, 35! I was now 41! Larry has done a great job with my hair for many years. I always get compliments on the color and cut. He gives a great neck massage too when he washes your hair!

Give him a try, you'll be glad you did!

I've gone to Larry for several years for cuts and (sometimes wild) color. He simply knows how to cut hair better than anyone else I've tried in Raleigh and Cary. And he knows color - whether you want to try something very different, or just enhance your natural shade. Larry knows how to cut for YOUR particular kind of hair, which is crucial. However, I didn't TRULY appreciate his expertise until I didn't have it. For the past year I thought I'd go elsewhere, maybe save a little money. Disaster! One colorist fried my hair, and no one was able to cut it so it looked good consistently. Finally, I got smart and went back to Larry and what a relief - my hair is once again looking healthy and has a chic, easy-to-style look that works consistently. Larry is professional yet easy-going, without attitude but with excellent knowledge and skills - and his rates are comparable with other quality salons.

When Larry Dunlap first styled my hair, I was modeling, had a job on the books and in a panic since my stylist had died. Someone recommended Larry and said even though he was new, he was a master. They were right. I took the chance and my mass of long hair looked great for the shoot. Larry has been my stylist ever since. He designs my hair to fit my face, my career, my hectic lifestyle and my age! As I got older (and grayer!) he suggested a shorter style and he did it beautifully, too. Even if I don't take any time with my hair, or wait too long between appointments, my hair style looks fresh. I call him my hair sculptor - absolutely would not go to anyone else. The atmosphere is relaxing, he is fun and I always leave refreshed and looking terrific. I am four hours from Raleigh, and have always traveled to have Larry style my hair. Find a master stylist of Larry's calibre in DC or NYC and it would easily cost three to four times to times what he charges, so I consider it a good deal.

Larry has always been aware that my neckline is very hard to cut evenly. He asked several questions when I first went to him and as a result my hair has always been perfectly cut. I am graying now and he has found a way with his expertise with coloring to keep my hair looking vibrant and healthy.

Larry is terrific and I highly recommend him, even after 12+ years. At the consultation, he asks not only how you want your hair, but also what your profession is, what activities you enjoy, etc. to give him an idea of what type of haircut would match your lifestyle.

I have alot of thick hair which is a challenge for anyone, and Larry is pretty good at keeping it in check. He always listens to suggestions. Larry has many interests, is well-read, is an entrepreneur, and an artist as well. There is always good conversation.

Larry is an expert at hair color and is a make-up artist. He's also a really nice person.

Outside of styling hair, Larry is an oil painting artist, and as an artist myself...we talk art.
